Modeling

One of my hobbies is modeling.  I’ve done everything from runway to print work.  I love using my creativity to come up with something that is unique, brilliant, and captivating.  Like with all things, you get better and better as you grow in experience.  You learn to love the camera, and the camera in turn will love you.  One thing I always have to remember is not to look at the areas that I consider to be my flaws, the things I want to change, but instead embrace what I’ve been blessed with and start being thankful for what I have.  When we typically look at pictures, we look directly at ourselves.  If we feel we look good, then the picture is a good one; whereas, if we feel we look bad, the picture, in turn, is a bad picture…………delete and retake!! (lol) I had to stop looking at myself through my own eyes!  We all can look in the mirror or at a picture and pick out things wrong with ourselves, but instead we need to look at the beauty of the entire picture and make ourselves look at the good.  One of the key elements that has helped me to grow in the world of modeling is always accepting myself the way I am and focusing on the positive.  We are all different, and we all carry unique beauty within us.  It is the beauty of the heart that outlasts our outward beauty!

“Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty that depends on fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. Instead, you should be known for the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.” 1 Peter 3:3-4
